"It's Not A Date...But It Is"
Who: Hesam & Peter

It hadn't been Peter's intention to show off.  He didn't think along those terms, despite being an exceptionally attractive young man who often drew errant glances from more than just the opposite sex.  When he pulled off his shirt in the locker room, he wasn't trying to recreate the poses of fashion models.  Purposefully.  It was just hard not to hold himself with confidence.  He still thought of himself as a hero after all.

Peter didn't notice if Hesam was staring or not.  He was too excited about their 'actual' date which might not even be one.  At least it made him smile.  Peter was not exactly known for smiling lately.  Or for taking time out of his busy New York City patrol schedule to do something human.  Like eat.

Well Peter at least seemed happy and as far as Hesam was concerned, that was a damn good thing. He didn't want to think too much about this dinner, or entertain images of Peter in the shower. Therefore he made sure to keep at least one stall between them both and focussed on memories of old Mrs Fielding who often enjoyed mistaking him for her husband.

At least thinking about work was keeping him from remembering how their last dinner not-date went down. Because he really didn't need those mental images flashing in his mind. Nope, no way.

Not at all was he trying to picture that kiss, put it on loop in his brain.

Mrs Fielding had a mole on her neck with three perfect hairs growing out of it. Oh yeah, he's definitely in control of his body.

Peter wasn't dwelling on kissing or physicality at all. He had been lonely, self imposed for the moment for sure, though his entire life had been marked by long stretches of friendlessness. He had been a hopeless dreamer as a child, and that make it awkward to make friends. Not that his mother let him attend parties or have any of his own that were not carefully orchestrated.

He would probably never know why he was so precious to her growing up. He never asked and she'd certainly never tell him that his entire goal in life had actually been to blow up and skyrocket his brother into the White House.

Ah, the Petrellis. Even their youngest hadn't completely come out unscathed.

Still, Peter was different now than he had been just a week before. He had something else going for him now. Hesam was a friend. Even if Peter could openly admit that he rather liked where it all had been heading the night before.

"When I said Italian," he said, glancing at Hesam through the spray, "I didn't mean pizza yanno?"

He ducks his head away from the spray so he can hear Peter better.

"Pizza is Italian?" he shoots back, acting bewildered.

Peter had always been a bit of a mystery. When it was first announced that a Petrelli was jumping on board, rumors went crazy. There was a lot of talk about Peter's supposed suicide attempt, the reports of Nathan getting shot and miraculously surviving.

When they ran out of girlfriend talk, the other guys often turned to any discussion of Peter. Hesam had lost count of the amount of times he'd defended Peter's name. Problem was, while Peter's suspicious ways was sort of okay by him, the others weren't so fond of it. He trusted Peter enough to just leave the other alone but in a job where team work and trust is paramount, the rest of the staff weren't so easy to let things slide. It ended up being half the reason why he'd signed himself up to be Peter's partner.

Besides, Peter was the easiest to make fun of and he appreciated that in a friend.

Peter arched one eyebrow and threw his washcloth across the stalls, arms hanging over the edge. He was just about tall enough to do that, chin resting on the tiled wall.

"Yes, well...not anymore I guess. Use to be, now it's bastardized American."

There were reasons for Peter's mysteriousness. It wasn't as if he could just go out and say that he had powers. Power now, really. His father had crippled him. Not that it stopped him from trying to be a hero.

Nothing seemed to.

"Um. I need that back..."

From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
Hesam dutifully continued to wash behind his ears. He had no intention of picking up Peter's washcloth and bringing it back to him. If he started doing that, Peter would develop a nasty habit of playing fetch.

"Shoulda thought of that before you threw it over, man."

From: [identity profile] chimeramimic.livejournal.com
Peter frowned and finished up with just his hands. Not ideal, but it would do. He shut off the water and wrapped a towel around his waist before he went to retrieve his missing piece of laundry.

Unfortunately, not only was it on the floor at Hesam's feet, but another pair of EMTs were just ending their own shift. "Woah! Need privacy?" one joked and Peter glanced over his shoulder, not quite getting it.

"Huh?"

Date: 2010-11-27 02:56 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
Tensing at the joke, Hesam just put it out of mind. To save both of them, he kicked the washcloth out of his stall and closer for Peter to grab.

"Don't worry Jackson, Petrelli is keeping his hands to himself," Hesam called back before shoving his head under the water to drown out a possible reply.

He really didn't need any of the guys once again giving him a rough time for the amount of time he spends with Peter. It would look better if Peter actually joined them out for drinks as a group. Instead it's just him and Peter doing these dinner outings.

Date: 2010-11-27 03:09 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] chimeramimic.livejournal.com
Twice! And no one even had to know! Peter really wouldn't have understood the problem. Despite everything he'd seen and experienced, sometimes he was a bit naive.

In a man his age, that really wasn't cute anymore.

Snagging his washcloth, Peter headed over to his locker to get changed while Jackson and Oliver laughed it up.

He dressed quickly and yelled over to Hesam that he'd wait outside. Peter left, but the other two men didn't let up. "What's he waiting for you for?"

Date: 2010-11-27 03:43 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
Peter goes ahead and leaves him with Jackson and Oliver, forcing him to babble out some ridiculous excuse that he's teaching Peter to be 'normal' and 'sociable'. There's the usual eye rolling and knowing looks but Hesam easily derails their thoughts by bringing up discussion of girlfriend troubles.

He finishes his shower and gets himself dressed, halfheartedly listening to the other two discuss breast implants before he's finally free and able to leave as well.

"Hey, Peter," he calls out pointlessly, nodding at the other in acknowledgement.

There's that grin. The impossible to ignore one. If Peter knew about his charm, he'd probably be able to rule the world with it alone. He had more of it than his brother did, and that man was doing pretty well for himself, wasn't he?

Another walk ahead of them and the restaurant Peter picked out came into view with little white lights adorning the windows and doorway. It was cute.

It was romantic.

It was perfectly suited to Peter. He ordered wine to go with their antipasto, candle light flickering in his eyes as he glanced over the menu. It was hard to tell if this was intentional or not.

Date: 2010-11-27 04:07 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
Hands in his pockets, Hesam awarded himself points for not opening his mouth and calling Peter out as a girl. Again.

The place looked like it would be better suited for a marriage proposal. He hoped the fact they both weren't all that dressed up would help them look like just friends and nothing more.

"You're ordering for me since you're the expert," he said, not bothering with the menu. Besides, he supposed Peter wanted revenge for the satay incident.

He poured himself out some wine, not much since he wasn't a huge wine drinker, but enough to offer a taste. Peter could pour his own damn wine. And what was with those candles?

Date: 2010-11-27 04:22 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] chimeramimic.livejournal.com
The candles were for atmosphere. This was a classy joint, and they did this up properly. Polo shirts were not exactly suit jackets, but though the place looked glitzy, it wasn't expensive. Peter lived on his own dime. He couldn't exactly afford the places his brother use to for his affairs.

Not that Hesam was an affair..

Peter belted his mind down before he went off in a very wrong direction. "All right, my pick then," he said as the waiter came back around with bread and oil. "How about the family style lasagna and chicken Parmesan?"

Date: 2010-11-28 11:13 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
He poured himself some water too, just to keep his hands busy. "Those sound great. I trust you," he replied, smiling a little.

It kept playing on his mind though, how ridiculous the two of them might look. If they really did appear to be on a date. Not that this was a date. This was more like a re-run of the last time. Except hopefully less alcohol and less confusing emotions.

Unless it was a date. He gulped down water, a little nervous.

Date: 2010-11-28 01:33 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] chimeramimic.livejournal.com
Peter certainly thought of it as a date. It was a date wasn't it? Hesam was acting...well. Awkward. Because it was a date. Oh God! How he was confused. Concerned...hopelessly lost.

Picking off pieces of bread to dip nervously into the oil and oregano, Peter realized that the silence was becoming uncomfortable.

"I'm sorry," Peter said, eyebrows scrunching up on his forehead. Ah, the Catholic guilt complex, rearing it's ugly head.

From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
"For what? Ordering? It's no big deal, man."

Trust Peter to be bothered about something weird like that. Unless this was one of those moments where Peter was on a completely different page to him. Highly possible.

Date: 2010-11-28 01:58 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] chimeramimic.livejournal.com
"For...for being insistent." After mentally yelling at himself that he really, really deserved this for neglecting his duties as a hero -- again, spurned on by guilt and lack of anything better to do -- Peter went back to the bread. And broke a piece off for Hesam.

What he really needed was more wine drunk in copious amounts so that he blacked out before he got molesty again.

Date: 2010-11-28 02:07 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
"Insistent? About the lasagna?" he asked, still confused. He felt like he was missing something obvious here.

Date: 2010-11-28 02:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] chimeramimic.livejournal.com
Well, Hesam was just going to have to keep on missing it. Peter turned tactics and just let the matter drop, draining his wine before pouring himself another. At this rate, Hesam was going to think he was a borderline alcoholic. Two nights of drinking in a row? During a week day?

Yeah, bad news.

"Yep, about the lasagna," he agreed, offering Hesam another piece of bread. At least he wasn't feeding it to him!

Hesam let out a huff when he suddenly had a lapful of Peter Petrelli. The guy moved surprisingly fast.

At the question, he paused, still rolling from the earlier embarassment. "I don't know if I'll back out," he said honestly. There were still a lot of things about this that worried him. Mostly the gay part.

"And I'm going to be weird about it because it's weird."

Peter was so familiar to him. Well, in a way where spending almost every day together stuck in an ambulance became familiar. The Peter persona outside of work was still a mystery to him.

"I want it," he said, almost as if making a decision. He'd already made the choice, this was just him verbalizing it he supposed. Maybe that's all Peter had needed.

From: [identity profile] chimeramimic.livejournal.com
Perfect. That's all Peter wanted. He grabbed Hesam's collar and backed off of him, dragging his partner and sort of friend into his bedroom.

Time number two. In as many days.

This time, Peter pulled his shirt off, over his head, and then moved to do the same to Hesam. He wouldn't argue the logistics of it. Hesam was having more trouble with that aspect than Peter was. Whatever the other man wanted, attention starved Peter would soak up happily!

Date: 2010-12-14 11:42 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
With Peter's help they got his shirt off. Probably something that didn't need two men to do but team effort was appreciated when he was starting to panic over how all this was going to work.

Peter already had his fly undone so Hesam moved closer and helped to push his pants down over thighs and knees.

Right. Next step. His own pants.

His hands fumbled at the button and fly, face screwed up in concentration. Something like this shouldn't be so difficult. He was never like this around girls.

From: [identity profile] chimeramimic.livejournal.com
Prancing around in one's underwear at his age was probably a faux pas, but Peter was a bit too needy at the moment to notice. Hesam had stripped him, somehow, of more than just his clothes. For two nights in a row now, he had not felt the need to go out and play the hero.

There was something a bit scary about that!

Much scarier than having Hesam's darker skin come into contact with his own pale flesh. Peter looked at his fingers as they splayed on Hesam's bicep.

He was damned good looking.

Date: 2010-12-17 12:33 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hesam-bb.livejournal.com
Shit was starting to feel pretty real. Hesam decided the best next step was to distract himself by kissing Peter again. Preferably for as long as possible. Well, as long as needed for him to start being okay with what they would be doing.

Not that he really knew what they'd be doing.

Crap.

Hesam kissed up Peter's jawline, to his ear, hesitating only briefly before he sucked on the other's earlobe. His teeth tugged the lobe gently while his hands wandered.

Like in music videos with writhing, anemic, drugged up pop stars, Peter arched upwards like a kitten seeking to be touched and let parted, moist lips part to enjoy another kiss before Hesam's mouth moved elsewhere.

That was good too, the puffing breath slipping out heavily. Peter wriggled around, fish on a hook, as his fingers sought a way to bring more flesh to flesh.

He didn't have the sort of issues Hesam was currently having. He didn't overthink, a blessing and a curse, but he did overfeel. And right now that was making him hornier than a high schooler.

If he'd gotten this far, he supposed being too worried about what would come next would be stupid. Not that it really stopped him - there was a healthy dose of 'what the fuck am I doing' that had made itself comfortable in the back of his mind.

There was definitely a disconnect between his mind and body, since as much as he was freaking out internally, his body was having no problems. In fact, after his hand had sought out Peter's cock and wrapped around the length confidently, he was starting to suspect his body was running on autopilot.

His mouth certainly was, whispering all sorts of ridiculous and cheesy sounding things into Peter's ear. He'd be lucky if Peter was actually turned on by any of it.
