Petrelli Vs Carlisle...the Musical
Oct. 7th, 2010 07:17 pm"Petrelli VS Carlisle -- The Musical"
Who: Peter Petrelli & Peter Carlisle (Blackpool)
When: Six months before Season 1
"He's making a mess."
Peter glanced up at the head nurse and arched an eyebrow. "Oh yeah?"
"Yes. And he keeps singing. Take him down to X-Ray."
Peter didn't exactly care for the tone of voice his superior was using, but with two months left of his internship, he couldn't stand being a smart ass. Shaking the hair out of his face, he took the chart under his arm and headed down to the waiting room. "Mister Peter Carlisle?" he asked, smiling as he always did. Patients in pain preferred to have a happy face to greet them.

Monkie on sugared energy drinks gives me heart palpatations. Are you bouncing from walls?
Date: 2010-10-08 12:58 pm (UTC)Esspecially when Carlisle looked so damned pleased to have the bit of dough in his hand. He had this thing with his tongue and his teeth that Peter found a bit fascinating. Maybe it was just because the Scottman was entirely too charismatic. Peter was a bit of a loner, he didn't have many friends, his mother treated him like a doll, his father was ashamed of him, his brother was an arrogant prick...but that didn't stop him from acting like a moth towards their flames.
Carlisle had the same sort of twistedly wonderful personality as his brother really. Suave on the outset, charming, and something a bit more dangerous beneath.
"I've never had time for much of a relationship," Peter confessed. "One in college I thought was going somewhere but it ended up that she was just interested in who my family is. She didn't take kindly to seeing my apartment." Peter paid for it all on his own. He'd never touched his trustfund.
I'm more sleepy and mellow XD
Date: 2010-10-08 01:20 pm (UTC)Carlisle knew nothing of whether this guy was rich, famous or some sort of love God. He just knew that Peter was friendly and he liked that. Not many nurses would sit back and spend time with their patients like this. It was endearing really, Peter was sort of sweet.
"I would of thought women would of went with you because you're attractive, you know. Not conventional but that sort of charm that wins someone over in seconds," Carlisle explained as he picked up his discard piece of donut. Pausing, he turned his head to Peter and paused. Woops, he hoped he didn't offend the man, he tended to speak sometimes on a whim.
"Not that I'm saying I'm overly charmed by you. Or not charmed! Just that I recognise you're fairly charming and a very nice person. You know?"
You know, looking at the Monkie statistics, that makes sense. The most improbable is always true!
Date: 2010-10-08 01:30 pm (UTC)He found himself staring again at Peter's mouth -- why did he did that what he talked? That bit with his tongue, as if he was stroking each word? -- before he blinked up at him.
Peter wasn't blind. He knew he was attractive. But charming? He was too much of a dreamer. He didn't engage people emotionally. He was off in Peter Land all the time, imagining himself like Superman or Spiderman.
"I'm sorry, what were you saying?" There, for instance. He had been watching his patient talk, listening to the sound of it, but hadn't been really paying attention. "Oh, you're nice too. Still weird though."
I'm so special I defy convention? ^______^
Date: 2010-10-08 01:39 pm (UTC)"Aye, very weird. So are you, mate. Two mad Peters, hanging around in a hospital-- I think we already won the oddness awkward, heh?"
Laughing to himself in amusement, he finished up what was left of his coffee before glancing around to find a clock. What time was it anyway?
"I hate you rush you but I really need to find a motel yet and my foot is fine, can't I just go?"
You do!
Date: 2010-10-08 01:51 pm (UTC)He dated a girl once in high school that was a dork like he was, but then she grew breasts and other guys noticed her too.
He had never considered guys. He wasn't religious but he grew up Catholic. His mother would have killed him, his brother would disown him, and Peter just preferred to stay lowkey, even from himself.
Peter flushed when he realized that this wasn't just a normal conversation. It was filler material. "You can't just go, man. Look at your foot. Let me get the doctor."
The doctor came in five minutes later, moved Carlisle's toes around, glanced at the x-rays, pointed out two minor fractures, and left.
"Well, just let me wrap this and we'll get you out of here. I'm really sorry it took so long, sir," Peter said, feeling foolish. He'd have liked to keep on talking with the DI. He pulled up a stool and pulled Carlisle's foot to his knee, gentle hands working the bandages,
So do you, FYI! XD
Date: 2010-10-08 02:00 pm (UTC)As Peter wrapped up his leg, he watched with interest, not really all that bothered by his foot being hurt. Things happened, he'd move on.
Glancing over at the clock, he raised an eyebrow 7:45pm and he had t somehow find a motel. Today was not exactly going very well, besides the whole meeting the other-Peter.
"Don't be sorry, you're the first person I've met in a very long time. Its nice to meet you, shame I probably won't see you again as well."

Date: 2010-10-08 02:09 pm (UTC)He didn't look it, and he rarely minded it, but Peter was a lonely guy. He had school books and cold pizza to look forward to.
Carlisle was right. They'd probably never meet again, but those were the breaks. He finished bandaging his foot, got him an air cast, and wheeled him out to the front desk before he offered his hand. "It was really great to meet you," Peter said, earnest to a fault and incredibly intense. They parted ways in the hallway, one Peter to get changed for the ride home and the other to fill out paperwork.
As luck would have it, both ended up at the taxi stand at roughly the same time. Peter blinked at Carlisle, eating something again. "Hey man!" he said, trotting up to the other man with a big grin, his lower lip drooping slightly as it tended to when he was sad or excited. "Figure out where you're going yet? There's a motel two blocks from my place, we could share a cab."
And another story perhaps.

Date: 2010-10-08 02:24 pm (UTC)Which he'd been happily eating, half leaning on his crutch which he hopefully wouldn't have to use too often.
Turning his head to the overly enthusiastic American, he grinned around his mouthful of hotdog and gulped it down, dropping the rest and the wrapped onto the floor now he had a new thing to amuse him.
"Peter! Hello again," he offered, smiling as he looked around at the gloomy sky before back to Peter. Sharing a cab? Why not, at least he sort of knew some one here, it made a point.
"No idea where I'm going really, got distracted but if you can point me in the direction of the motel then that'd be great. I know nowhere here so any help is great."
It was either that or he'd be wandering around all night, consuming food as he went.
More icecream!
Date: 2010-10-08 02:29 pm (UTC)"All right, lesson one with New York cabs," Peter said, cute as a button and overly happy to help, "you have to be assertive." Not that they had to be with a taxi stand. They'd just wait in line and get the next one.
And not a second too soon! The moment that Peter helped the injured cop into the cab, the heavens opened up. Peter laughed, shoulders wet, gave the cabbie directions and leaned back into the leather seat.
"D'ya ever think you were meant to do something amazing?" he asked, really out of the blue. There he went, Peter Land again.
Very Carlisle as well! Peter must buy him icecream!
Date: 2010-10-08 02:39 pm (UTC)"No," Was his simple answer, crossing his arms and watching out the window as rain poured down, slamming against the safety of the cab roof.
"I think some people want to be more than they are so they believe it and some will work hard to do it, others maybe lucky but no one is meant to do anything."
He may have been optimistic and everything but when it came to destinies and purpose, he had quit the mistrust towards it. He could fathom why.
"Do you?"
YES! <3
Date: 2010-10-08 02:53 pm (UTC)He scooted forward slightly, all smiles.
"Yeah I do. Sometimes I dream that life can be like a comicbook. Okay, I know that's pretty out there, but what if it was true? I've never been extraordinary in anything, school or sports or whatever, and I don't really think I'll ever fly around or anything, but it hit me a few weeks ago that maybe one day I'll do something amazing if I keep at it."
Hurrah! Icecream from all <333
Date: 2010-10-08 03:06 pm (UTC)Still, for once he decided to be tactful, he was a good liar and he didn't mind humouring his knew friend. He nodded his head along and peered behind him and out the window.
"Who knows, maybe you will? Big hero moment might come one day soon, you might get to save someones life with you nursing skills, right place at the right time."
Or, he could be mundane as ever and die after living a normal boring life. Much like Peter would assume he would as well.
no subject
Date: 2010-10-08 03:14 pm (UTC)He laughed, a bit touchier than most men when he patted the other Peter on the shoulder.
"Nah, I'm going into hospice care when I finish my internship at the hospital. The only hero I'll ever be is when some poor old lady thinks I'm her husband and I get to hold her hand when she passes."
He tucked his longish hair behind his ears. They were in near standstill traffic, but he hardly minded. The company was good.
"Shit, sorry. That's sorta depressing. You're a lot more interesting than me." He settled his head back on the leather seat and turned his face towards Peter with a smile.
